Plot summary
Plot — Orlando Furioso
From all over the world, princes have come to Africa to woo |Amgeliga, the successful suitor will become her father Marsilis’ heir. Given a free choice, Angelica opts for OFlaHdG) offending his higher-ranking rivals. They plan to seize Angelica and despoil Africa, but Orlando lays siege to R@@aimant's castle and sacks it. Rodamant and Brandimart flee. _ . Ambitious for love and power, Sa@rapalit woos Angelica, but she loves only Orlando. Planning to make Orlando jealous, he hangs love poems on the trees in a grove where Orlando walks; his man disguises himself as a shepherd and tells Orlando that Angelica is in love with Orlando is driven out of his mind, and dismembers fi@lShepherd’, mistaking him for Medor. M@arSiiWS banishes Angelica, but his former enemy Manidmieard receives gracious treatment and becomes his companion. Convinced that both Medor and Angelica are dead, Orlando madly plans to pursue them to hell to continue his revenge. He recruits an army of rustics and kills SERS in battle. He meets Angelica, but does not know her. His page presents him with a false ABeliea - in reality a cross-dressed clown - whom he beats. Having heard of Orlando’s lunacy, the twelve peers of France come to seek reprisals against ey and are greeted by Marsilius. makes war on Marsilius. The vitbeli Melis8A cures Orlando’s madness and sends him to fight. Sacrapant is defeated in single combat by Orlando, disguised as a common soldier; he confesses Angelica’s innocence before he dies. Meanwhile, the peers have captured her and plan to execute her for adultery. Still disguised, Orlando fights them in her defence, and wins. His countrymen recognize him by his distinctive combat style, and he explains Sacrapant’s stratagem. Marsilius invests him with his crown, and he prepares to return with Angelica to France.
